Friday Favorites #2

I know that it’s been a whiiiiiile since my last Friday Favorites. For that, I greatly apologize. In this series, I’ll post for sell items from around the web that I really like. I hope you do, too! Does contain affiliate links

Coffee and tea are my lifeblood (and I love all things Harry Potter) so I really want to try this Butter Beer Tea

(The Tea Hippies)

As a fan of almost all things fantasy, I love the idea of Fairy Doors. I definitely plan on getting on for my daughter, and this will probably be the one I choose.

(SugarBushFairies)

My house is filled with owl decor, so these Owl Bottle Openers would go perfectly!

(juxtapositionsc)

If I ever felt like making my house smell deliciously like pot roast without the work of making it, these Pot Roast Scented Melts would be perfect!

(Radical Works)

How gorgeous are these Owl Dreamcatchers!

(SunChildDreams)

As much as I love Military style jackets, it’s too hot here Louisiana for that. This Embellished Military Shirt Jacket would give me the look without all of the layers of wool that would make me drown in my own sweat.

(CA Mode)

Do you know how happy it makes me that Pluto was included in this Solar System Necklace?!

(ThinkGeek)

The leather and lace combo of this Crop Hoodie is absolutely beautiful!

(Ayya)

There’s so few official Once Upon a Time merchandise, that I was very excited when I saw this OUAT Bracelet

(Amazon)

The blue and gold in this Celestial Journal is one of my favorite color combinations.

8 Nerdy Baby Products

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

For the longest time, I was first and foremost a nerd. Nowadays, I’m first and foremost a mom. However, that doesn’t mean I have to stop being a nerd. Here are some awesome baby products that also showcase to world your love of nerd culture.

1) DC Comics Silicone Teether by Bumkins

The majority of a baby’s life from pretty much 3 months and up is spent teething. These silicone teethers are perfect for little mouths. My daughter has the Superman one and loves it. They are also dishwasher safe (so really easy to clean), BPA free, and non-toxic, so I love it, too!

2) Wonder Woman Wet Dry Bag by Bumkins

With cloth diapering being easier than ever and so much more eco friendly than disposables, it’s no wonder so many moms are going back to using cloth diapers. Carry your diapering supplies in this Wonder Woman themed Wet Bag. It is stain and odor resistant making it perfect for carrying soiled diapers when you’re on the go.

3) Hedwig Shawl Scarf by ThinkGeek

Shawl scarves are amazingly helpful when breastfeeding. They are large enough to use as a cover, but they are thin enough to cool and breathable for the baby. Since they are also a scarf, you can wrap it around your neck as a fashion statement instead of adding yet another thing to your diaper bag.

4) Super Hero Monthly Baby Stickers by Amazon

Because what better way is there to show off your awesome nerd mom cred than with baby brag stickers that are reminiscent of various super hero outfits.

5) Ulubulu Expression Pacifier Set by Ulubulu

These classic comic book expressions let your baby express themselves in a fun way. They are BPA free and the nipple is made of medical grade silicone. They also have extra large holes to prevent skin irritation which is not something you want when chasing super villains.

6)Batman Bandana Bib by Bumkins

Babies are messy. It’s an unfortunate fact of life. Mine had reflux, so she spit up all of the time. Unfortunately, the meant we had to constantly keep her cute clothes cover with bibs, so we weren’t changing her clothes even more often than we already were. These cute bandana bibs are cute in addition to being functional.

7)Wonder Woman Cloth Diaper by Bumkins

For those of you that choose to use cloth diapers even some of the time, Bumkins offers a range of DC Comics themed cloth diapers. Some of them even have little capes that you can attach to the back which is Super cute.

8) Superman Messenger Diaper Bag by DC Comics

With everything you have to bring with you to keep baby fed, clean, and happy, you need a place to store it all. This messenger bag style diaper bag is easy to just sling over your shoulder while you’re already holding your little one. It comes with a washable burp cloth that attaches to the bag like a cape, a matching changing pad (which is a must on public changing tables, and an insulated bottle holder.

My Husband Dyed My Hair Green

It’s been a couple of years, but I am finally back to having an unnatural hair color. I spent two years going through various colors including shades of pink, red, blue, and teal.

I had unfortunately had to stop because I have sensitive skin that resulted in a negative reaction on my scalp. Thankfully, I discovered L’Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent For Brunette Hair. It’s a hair dye specifically designed with brunettes in mind. We used two tubes of the Teal color to cover my whole head.

So far, I’m pretty satisfied with how it came out. It ended up a little greener than the box said to expect, but I’m honestly not surprised. It usually takes more than one session to get to a bluer color when dying from brunette without toner.

How I Got Into Vlogging and Blogging

Until about three years ago, I had previously heard of people blogging and vlogging, but I never really knew what it was all about. On YouTube, the only videos I ever really watched were music videos people made using clips of movies and tv shows. I had never really ventured into the vlogging side of YouTube (Well, other than the vlogbrothers).
